Is GetFiveStars a Secure System?

https

GetFiveStars is completely hosted and delivered over HTTPS

HTTPS provides authentication of the website and associated web server that one is communicating with, which protects against man-in-the-middle attacks. Additionally, it provides bidirectional encryption of communications between a client and server, which protects against eavesdropping and tampering with and/or forging the contents of the communication.

In practice, this provides a reasonable guarantee that one is communicating with precisely the website that one intended to communicate with (as opposed to an imposter), as well as ensuring that the contents of communications between the user and site cannot be read or forged by any third party.

GetFiveStars only stores data at highly secure AWS Data Centers

All data is stored in highly secure Amazon Web Services data centers utilizing state-of-the art electronic surveillance and multi-factor access control systems. Data centers are staffed 24×7 by trained security guards, and access is authorized strictly on a least privileged basis.

Environmental systems are designed to minimize the impact of disruptions to operations. And multiple geographic regions and Availability Zones allow us to remain resilient in the face of most failure modes, including natural disasters or system failures.
